Bailey Middle School Band!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PLAYING IN THE BAND?

While learning to play an instrument provides pleasure for students, being involved in instrumental music is an enriching cultural, social and educational experience. A great deal of self-discipline is developed by the mastery of a musical instrument and it provides an emotional outlet for the student. Band is currently the largest elective at Bailey with band students being the leaders in academic achievement, school spirit, and club activities. While the benefits are many, learning to play an instrument is hard work and demands commitment and dedication.

CONGRATULATIONS WIND ENSEMBLE!!!

A panel of five judges from all over Texas selected you to move on and represent our Area in the final judging series for State CCC Middle School State Honor Band! On Thursday, June 19th, the bands selected to represent each region had recordings judged in New Braunfels. Our Region consists of bands from Houston, San Antonio, Fredricksburg and Austin. The final result was a dead even tie between us and the Bleyl Middle School Band from Houston. Both of us will move on to the final evaluation which will be held in late July at the Texas Bandmasters Association convention in San Antonio. Our recording will be judged along with 12 other Area representatives from all over the state, to see who the CCC State Champion Middle School Band for the past school year will be. Be very proud of your accomplishment. Again, your hard work and musical dedication to one another is being recognized......and you have been rewarded. Good luck in the next round. I'll keep you informed regarding our final round at STATE!
