If my child is in BEGINNING BAND, do they need to bring their instrument on the first day of school?

Nope! We will be covering logistics on the first day. We will let them know when they need to bring them as it will be different for each instrument.

If my child is in the WIND SYMPHONY OR SYMPHONY BAND, do they need their instrument on the first day of school?

Nope! We will be covering logistics on the first day. They will have assigned lockers and need to bring their instruments on day 2 of school.

If my child is in the WIND ENSEMBLE, do they need their instrument on the first day of school?

YES!!! We have already been through procedures over our summer session and are ready to continue playing! They need to come in through the side band hall door, find their name on the locker list (on the white board) and put their instrument up. They will then go back outside and follow the new morning routine that the campus has put in place.

We ordered our instrument through a music company and they were going to deliver it to the school. Has that happened?

Yep! We have already received all pre-ordered instruments and they are here ready to go!

Can my child be in sports and band?

Yes! The majority of students in our band program also participate heavily in sports both on campus and off. We always try our hardest to accommodate each others’ programs. Please let us know in advance of any potential conflicts so we can try to accommodate you as best as possible. We also have students who are in band and orchestra, band and choir, and band and theater as well.

How much after school stuff is there?

We try to put the majority of activities and rehearsals before school. For beginning band students, we only have two rehearsals in the fall and two in the spring that are after school to help us prepare for our upcoming concert. For our 7th and 8th grade ensembles, sectionals and rehearsals are usually before school. Of course there are some events that happen after school or in the evening such as concerts, tutoring, etc. You can always check our calendar on Charms or on the website for updated information.
