Wind Ensemble --After completing Beginning Band, all students audition for placement into the 3 concert bands. Wind Ensemble is one of the 3 concert bands.

Wind Symphony --After completing Beginning Band, all students audition for placement into the 3 concert bands. Wind Symphony is one of the 3 concert bands.

Symphony Band --After completing Beginning Band, all students audition for placement into the 3 concert bands. Symphony Band is one of the 3 concert bands.

Beginning Band --Students generally begin band in the 6th grade, and are placed in the Beginning Band. This band does not meet as a whole--it is divided into instruments and will meet daily with like instruments. The band's parts will join together for the Holiday and Spring Concerts.

Pep Band --This is a 'spirit' band made up of 7th and 8th grade band members. Participation in this band is optional for everyone except Wind Ensemble members, whose participation is mandatory. This band plays at pep rallies, some football games and for the incoming 6th graders at their orientation. There is not a Pep Band class--the students are required to attend 10 days of practice outside of regular school hours. These dates are predetermined and may be found on the Band Calendar.

Steel Drums --This ensemble is for 7th and 8th grade students with musical knowledge. Although you do not have to be a band member, you must obtain approval from the Steel Drum Director. This is a class that meets during the school day--either all year or in the Fall semester only.

Jazz Band --This ensemble is for 7th and 8th grade band members that are interested in jazz music. Participation in this ensemble requires advance approval from the Jazz Band Director. This is a class that meets during the school day--only in the Spring semester.
